I hadn't realized it's been so long since I wrote on here!  I have been busy with life lately between family illness and personal  things.  I have finally gotten back to a less crazy life and am trying to get all my crafts caught up!! 
Lets see we have a new family member  His name is Cletus  Kyle saw him get thrown out of a car and picked him up and brought him home. I believe he is about 6-8 wks old Maggie has adopted him nice to have the baby with no pain !! He is getting along well with everyone now and starting to do better potty training.  Daisy as you can see rules the couch world and is not interested in being a sub  mom!!

We have started to down size the yard work now. We got rid of my big rose bushes at the front of our house I was sad to see them go they have been there for 18 yrs  but I was unable to keep up with them anymore.
The other garden we will downside it as well as I can't get help to keep it weeded.

I have been working on a few boms this year and have acually managed to get them all done so far!! Now I have started on my x-mas gift list. this year I decided to make gifts or I won't give any we'll see how that goes I'm way behind on my work. 

well I had better go now and get something done today. I seem to have been on the computer most of the day instead of on my sewing machine!!  I will have to put in a movie and hand sew today.

Hi everyone,
It's been awhile since I posted but I'm feeling better now.  I have finally caught up on my BOM's for this year. I have one more to finish off for this month  hopefully I'll get it done today, then I will have the rest of the month to work on my crinoline lady picture. All the dogs are finished heat cycles now and hopefully none will have another one before we get them spayed at the vets!  They all go, as well as Mocha the cat, at the end of July.  I decided to set up Orkin the bug people to start coming to the house and spraying. we have been having a lot of spiders this year and the over the counter spray doesn't seem to work on them too good. Hubby doesn't have the time anymore to keep up with everything around the house so this will be one less thing for him to have to do. now just to find someone to work on the garden for us and get it weeded. You used to be able to gt school kids to do it for you for extra cash but none want the job anymore. one boy said he'd do it but he'd charge $20. per hour and though it would take a day or two to get done!! I said I'd give him $40. for the whole job!!  it is a small garden and most of the weeds are that grass that runs along the ground so when you pull one section  half of the other section is done!!  so we'll see.

well it's raining here today the ground really needed it  got to go for now and get my son ready for work. Hope you all have a great week.

It's been awhile since I have posted!  I Have made a block on Esthers forget me knot quilt it was alot of work. I drew out the pieces for the peonie block as well but I haven't the time now to do that one as well so will save it for later.






I have this months blocks ready to sew just two more monthly blocks to come out hopefully I  can get the others done before they get here!!  Finally got the dogs scheduled for the vet for spaying they will all go (cat as well) the end of june. the vet has a sale that month so it will be cheaper. 
I got my cell phone back from my son this month as well. He upgraded for a new iphone  at last.

Another month already.  I have been cutting and ironing all weekend getting blocks ready to sew for March
I thought I had all my Jan and Feb ones sewed but then I found my mini quilts were all readied but not sewn!

I hope to get them worked on today. I finished sewing my funky chicken block for march just need to put on borders and then I will be done for now.   I have to get back to my crinoline picture as I haven't gotten much

done on it lately.  I did get a ufo quilt done this week. so that brought the old list down some but of course I added a few new ones for this year!!

My son Kyle and His girlfriend Ronakay went to a car show in Conroe Texas the other weekend I finally got a new picture to them with my sons new truck. I thought the pic came out good.










I ordered a new chair and ottoman for my living room the other day hopefully this one won't get eaten alive by the dogs!! If they leave this one alone I will have to see about getting a new couch this year. the recliner couch isn't working good now. I don't think I'd ever get another reclining couch. the regular recliners are a lot better. the couch is too heavy to move around and it tears the tiles on the floor every time you open the chairs I got the burgandy one

I am waiting for my material to come in the mail today for a Dear Jane Quilt I want to start.I think I will have to put it to the side though until I get some more of these other projects caught up.  As for the house a day quilt...... well ....... I am really behind on it!! so much for my I'll cut a lot out ahead of time!! .Did that, but haven't got around to sewing them yet!!!  well technically I have the top parts for the last two months sewn and the material in a drawer waiting to be cut for the bottom half now just to get a move on and get it done!!
now I have marches to add to it. I think I need to take one weekend and do nothing else but sew them to get caught up! Maybe this weekend I will put on the Lord of the Rings trilogy and sew while I watch.  My husband is going to visit his parents on friday and sat for his dads 80th birthday  my son has to swap to days for work this weekend ( nights friday sleep for 4 hrs then up for work on sat and sun days then back to nights on monday) so I need to be here to take care of the puppies they get their rabie shots friday morning and the rest of there shots so can't really leave them out when I'm gone plus it will be raining so I will stay here and keep house. Hopefully we can go down again another weekend and I will go with him. I would like to get down and see them.  My little Gizmo is in heat now I really think this is her second cycle but we weren't sure the first time if it was her or the cat but this time it is for sure. So she will go in July to be fixed. Kyle and Allen started working on the front yard this weekend it is looking better now the grass has grown in good this year. we will have to work on the garden later this month and get the ponds fixed up and weed.

Hi everyone!

Today I am working on my hand applique blocks.  I sorted everything the other day and got them ready to sew.


I have been having a Twilight marathon while I got everything worked on. I'm on the last film today . I have also decided to start a Dear Jane quilt!  I have ordered the background material and will start that next month after I have caught up some of my other work!

We have had so much rain here in Texas that the ground is soaking wet. my puppy's are loving it but my furniture isn't!!  I need to get a steam cleaner just to wash the couch!! I don't have carpet in the house so will only need it for the furniture!!  I tried using a scrub brush and basin but that didn't work too good!!!
My little Gizmo got loose yesterday in the yard and she had a blast!  until she fell in a mud hole and couldn't get out!  I wish I h ad a camera on me at the time as the bigger dog picked her up by the scruff and carried her to the house she looked like a drowned rat!! We will be complaining about the drought again by summer I'm sure!!
It is going to be in the 70's again today so I am in shorts the other day I was in sweats and a sweater. go figure!!
